The Ruffs Dale community is mourning the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of Kylee Nicole Korber, a vibrant 16-year-old remembered for her energetic personality, creativity, adventurous spirit and deep love for animals.
Kylee passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born on June 4, 2009, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, she leaves behind family, friends, classmates and others who are now holding tightly to memories from a life that ended far too soon.
Although Kylee’s life lasted only 16 years, those years were filled with friendship, family experiences, adventure and the activities that brought her happiness. Her loved ones remember her as sweet, feisty, energetic and sometimes ornery — qualities that made her personality distinctive and unforgettable.
Kylee was a student at Yough Senior High School, where she was known for her lively and fun-loving nature. She enjoyed staying active and spending time with the people around her. Swimming, riding her bicycle, jumping on the trampoline and being with friends were among the activities she enjoyed.
She also possessed a strong creative side. Kylee loved making crafts, creating slime and collecting rocks, finding enjoyment in hobbies that allowed her curiosity and imagination to shine.
Animals held a particularly special place in Kylee’s heart. Her beloved pets, Chip and Piggy, were cherished companions, and her affection for animals was an important part of her life.
Her love of the outdoors also gave her opportunities to create special memories with her family. Kylee enjoyed fishing and hunting deer and turkey with her stepfather, Chad. Those experiences provided time together in nature and became treasured memories that her family will carry forward.
Adventure was another defining part of Kylee’s personality. She enjoyed activities involving wheels and especially loved riding her 220 Kawasaki Bayou quad. She also enjoyed her mini bike and lawnmower, embracing the excitement and freedom that came with being outdoors.
Family vacations brought additional memories. Kylee enjoyed trips to Ocean City, Maryland, as well as visits to Hocking Hills, Ohio. For her family, those vacations now represent much more than destinations. They are reminders of laughter, shared experiences and time spent together.
Music and friendship were also important to Kylee. She enjoyed both rap and country music and loved spending time with friends. She also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and being surrounded by people she cared about.
Her creative and expressive interests extended beyond crafts. When she was younger, Kylee played the trumpet and spent several years dancing, adding music and performance to the many experiences that shaped her childhood and teenage years.
Even at a young age, Kylee had begun developing a sense of responsibility and independence. She worked as a cashier at Shop N’ Save and previously worked as a dishwasher at Eat ’N Park while continuing her education.
For those who knew her through school, work, family or friendship, Kylee’s sudden death has created an absence that will be difficult to accept.
Her loved ones are now left with photographs, stories and memories of a young woman who loved adventure, animals, music, creativity and the outdoors. The everyday moments she once shared with others have taken on new meaning in her absence.
The loss of someone so young can be especially painful because of all the possibilities that remain unrealized. Kylee had many years ahead of her to discover new interests, build relationships and experience adulthood. Instead, her family and friends must now remember the life she lived and the joy she brought during her 16 years.
Kylee Nicole Korber will be remembered not simply for the circumstances of her unexpected passing, but for the personality and interests that made her who she was — her adventurous spirit, energetic nature, creativity, love of animals and devotion to the people closest to her.
Though Kylee’s life was far too short, the memories she created will remain with her family, friends, classmates and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her loved ones will continue to carry those memories as they mourn a young life that meant so much to so many.
